What necklace do you both like best? Bird or cage?

fuckyeah-bioshockinfinite:

I used to like the bird, but now I personally find the cage more appealing. In my eyes, the cage represents Elizabeth taking control over her prison and the life she was forced to live, as well as representing her true control over Songbird (C-A-G-E). The bird is nice and I know the meaning behind it, but the cage is my favorite.

Also, I think this famous optical illusion has significant meaning about why both are correct and why maybe in some cases, both are wrong:

The cage is symmetrical and elegant, while the bird’s flowing shape shows motion and holds it’s own sort of elegance as well. From an artisitc standpoint, I like them both!

From a story perspective, I have seen excellent arguments for why each represent something positive and negative in Elizabeth’s life. In other words… I like them both!
